Kasaragod: Badiyadka police seized huge quantity of banned pan masala products, when they stopped a vehicle for interrogation on December 20.
Abdul Kunhi (35), a resident of Vidyagiri was nabbed by the police. As many as 11 plastic bags containing 27,370 banned pan masala packets were being transported from Puttur to Badiyadka covered with grocery and vegetable items. When police intercepted the vehicle from Perla, the illegal shipment came to light.
The packets were meant for distribution across Kasaragod district. Police are carrying out further investigation.
