Mangaluru: Protests demanding a fresh investigation into the Soujanya rape and murder case have already commenced statewide. Simultaneously, a Bajrangdal procession has been organized, spanning from Netravathi to Dharmasthala Annappa Swamy Hill.

Soujanya’s mother, Kusumavati, is expected to join the procession. Notably, she has accused Dheeraj Kella, Malik Jain, and Uday Jain of involvement in her daughter’s rape and murder. It is anticipated that these three accused individuals may come face-to-face during the procession, raising the possibility of them taking an oath in front of the deity at Annappa Swamy Hill.

To maintain order and prevent any potential incidents, the police have deployed security measures in front of Dharmasthala Annappa Swamy Hill. Superintendent of Police Rishyanth Sibi is on the scene, overseeing the investigation.
