Relief package announced by CM Yediyurappa is hopeless: Vishwas Kumar Das

Mangaluru:  Mangalore City Block Congress Committee president, Vishwas Kumar Das said “Backward community is in distress amid covid. The relief package announced by Cheif Minister BS Yediyurappa is hopeless.”

Speaking at the press conference here on Saturday, June 5 he said, “the government has announced only Rs 2000 to 3000 for the many groups in relief package, which is insufficient. Government must provide at least Rs 10,000 to each as a relief. He demanded free food distribution even to the APL cardholders at least for a month, he said.

Expressing anguish over the additional relief package announced by Chief Minster Yediyurappa he said, “The government has just announced the Package is but has not taken further action to make it available to the people in distress. He said the government must take necessary action in this regard the relief package amount must reach everyone should reach as soon as possible, he said.
