Beltangady, Apr 3: The robbers threatened a night watchman of a depot of Rubber Society located at Guruvayanakere, near here with sickles and decamped with one ton of rubber sheets on Tuesday April 2 night.
The robbers arrived in a Toyota Qualis SUV at Guruvayanakere branch of a Rubber Society based at Ujire, near here on Tuesday night, and threatened the watchman with sickles and loaded the rubber sheets in their vehicle and fled.
The circle inspector Bhaskar Rai and sub-inspector Yogish Kumar B C arrived at the spot, when the locals informed the control room.
The fingerprint experts and canine squad gathered the clues to nab the robbers at the earliest.
The town police registered a case in this regard and investigations are under way.
