Mangaluru: Higher Education, IT/BT Minister Dr. C. N. Ashwath Narayan said that robotics and artificial intelligence as a technology will be used to increase income from fisheries in coastal areas on Friday October 29.
He was speaking at the programme, Mangaluru Technovanza of Beyond Bengaluru Summit held under the auspices of Karnataka Digital Economy Mission at Hotel Ocean Pearl here. He said that the State Government has given approval for setting up of Software Park in the region to boost economic activities. Under the mission’s Elevate programme, the region has been accorded cluster fun for the activities, he informed.
The programme like Digital Economy Mission is unique and there is another similar programme only in Singapore. This mission will help augment industries all around the State, he emphasised.
On the occasion, he also inaugurated the mission’s office and programme, Future Digital Jobs @ Mangaluru.
