Mangaluru: RI District 3181 Governor Rtn. M Ranganath Bhat on behalf of all Rotarians of Dakshina Kannada handed over 3000 face shields and 60000 hand gloves to Dakshina Kannada DC Sindhu Roopesh to be distributed to Anganwadi and Asha karyakartas for their door to door COVID-19 survey in the district. About 3000 workers are expected to conduct the survey for over 20 days. MLC and Assistant Governor Zone IV Rtn. Pratap Simha Nayak and members from various Rotary clubs were also present.
This initiative is been supported through the generous donation of all the Rotary clubs in Dakshina Kannada. Rtn. Yatish Baikampady and District Secretary Rtn. Ritesh Baliga co-ordinated the programme.
Rtn. M Ranganath Bhat thanked all the Assistant Governors, Presidents, and members of all Rotary Clubs in Dakshina Kannada for rising up to the occasion in a very short span of time. The volunteers have done a fantastic job of reading the material in record time.
