Mangaluru: A rowdy sheeter who was brutally assaulted by bike-borne miscreants near Baikampady died at a private hospital where he had been brought for treatment.
Raghavendra alias Raja (28), a Baikampady resident, has been identified as the deceased.
According to sources, two bike-borne men intercepted Raghavendra late on the evening of Monday evening June 6 and assaulted him with a sword. They cut his face, head, and hands multiple times.
Raghavendra was seriously injured when police got on the scene and was rushed to the hospital.
The reason for the attack, on the other hand, has yet to be determined.
A case under IPC Section 307 has been registered by the police.
