Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah thanked voters for supporting the Congress party in the Council elections.
Speaking after what can be called a good performance by the Congress party in the election, he said that the results show that voters have taught a lesson to rebel candidates in the party.
Congress party has lost narrowly in Kodagu and Chikkamagaluru. “Opposition leader KS Eshwarappa should take political sanyas”, he said in this regard.
Speaking about Congress winning in the Hassan constituency, he said that the win came as an unexpected pleasant surprise and added that the win can be attributed to the efforts and work of the District in-charge minister A Manju.
