Mangaluru: Bajrang Dal national convener Sohan Singh Solanki will deliver the keynote address at the huge meeting scheduled by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) at Nehru Maidan on November 25.
Informing about the meeting, which will be organised to mount pressure on central government to build Sri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, VHP Mangaluru divisional secretary Sharan Pumpwell said, over 50,000 Ayyappa devotees will participate and urge the central government to take immediate measures on constructing Ram Mandir during the meeting. Such meetings will be held at 400 district centers so as to mount pressure on the central government, he added.
Sharan informed that Hindu Jagaran Vedike, Hindu Yuva Sene and Sri Ram Sene have already extended support to the scheduled meeting. In order to create awareness among the public about the need of constructing Ram Mandir and the scheduled meeting, various Hindu organisations will start disbursing pamphlets from November 22, he informed.
Central government should intervene
Meanwhile, VHP district president Jagadish Shenava urged with the central government to intervene into the issue of Sabarimala temple. “Though the Supreme Court allowed the entry of all women into Sabarimala temple irrespective of their age, Central government should intervene immediately and take all measures to uphold the old tradition, which prevents the entry of women, between the age group of 10 and 50, he stressed.
VHP district secretary Shivanand Mendon, Bajrang Dal divisional coordinator Bhujanga Kulal and district convener Praveen Kuttar were present.
