Mangaluru: Former Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary addressed a large protest gathering of the Coastal BJP, where they demanded a fresh investigation into the Soujanya case.
Poonja highlighted that Harish Poonja was not an MLA at the time of the incident, and it has been eleven years since Santosh Rao was declared innocent by the CBI court. In such circumstances, there should be no one accused in this case. Consequently, the BJP across the entire state is calling for a re-investigation. The people of the state are witnessing Kusumavathi’s sorrow and anguish, adding weight to the demand for an immediate re-investigation.
Poonja also suggested that Soujanya’s parents file a public interest litigation, with State BJP MLA Harish Poonja pledging support. They are urging the government in both the Assembly and the Council to take action. The BJP is resolute in its stance and has sounded a clarion call for justice. Poonja emphasized that Siddaramaiah should promptly initiate a fresh investigation, and their support extends to a judicial inquiry or an SIT. Leaders from various regions are united in this demand, from Byndoor to Sullia.
