Bantwal: One person lost his life in a tragic accident between a bike and a lorry at Kudrebettu near Kalladka on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway on Thursday, December 1.
Sudarshan Shetty (29) from Bolangady has been identified as the deceased. Sources said that a tar barrel-laden truck collided into Sudarshan’s bike when he was going towards Kalladka. Sudarshan was killed on spot.
It is learnt that, the driver of the truck got trapped inside when his truck hit a roadside tree after colliding with the bike. Alert locals rescued the driver.
Bantwal traffic police inspector Chandrashekar visited the spot and cleared the badly damaged vehicles.
