Mangaluru: Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mangaluru of Dakshina Kannada District would be awarded with this year’s State Rajyotsava Award under category – organisation for its contribution towards the society. The organisation’s work for City’s cleanliness under its campaign, Swachh Mangaluru Abhiyan has thus been duly recognised.
Nine other organisations too have been selected along with Shri Ramakrishna through nominations by citizens themselves. Nine other organisations are Shi Veereshwar Punyashrama School for Blind, Gadag, Karnataka Hemophilia Society, Davangere, Kottala Basaveshwar Bharathiya Education Society, Sedam, Kalaburagi, All India Jain Youth Federation (R), Vidyanagar, Hubballi, Sree Banashankari Womens Co-operative Society, Nagarathpet, Bengaluru, Utsav Rock Garden, Gotagodi, Haveri, Anugraha Eye Hospital, Vijayapura, Adamya Chetana, Bengaluru, StepOne, Bengaluru
Kannada and Culture Department Minister V. Sunil Kumar announced the list of organisations and achievers who would be accorded with this year’s State Rajyotsava awards.
