Mangaluru: The Karnataka State Sunni Student Federation (SSF) inaugurated their new mentoring course in association with the School of Islamic Studies at the Town Hall on Thursday, 6 October. ‘Assafa’ is the mentoring system which will teach students about Islamic ways of life.
Assafa is a four month course which will induce Islamic values and morals in the students. Mentors from all over the state had come for the state wide inauguration of Assafa. The four month course will ensure that the students know the values that Islam teaches.
The aim of Assafa is to induce the morals and values of Islam. It is the initiative taken up by the School of Islamic Studies. The syllabus and notes have also been readied by the school which has division wise trainers all over Karnataka.
SSF State President Bekal Ustad delivered a speech on the importance of Islamic studies. District incharge of Assafa, Abbas Ustad and top SSF members Arif Bhai Kodi and Mohammad Ali Faizi were also present at the event.
