Mangalore:The students of the various colleges staged a protest rally from Jyothi circle to the DC office and later a protest at the Hamilton circle.

Addressing the protesters the student of the Car street college, Ashwini Raj Shetty said ”We do not want the police to find the boy. Of some one is able to trace the boy then we want to thrash him with sandals in public so that whoever thinks to Rape or sexually harass any girl should think twice before doing so.

Even though the Delhi rapists have been given the death sentence,  the “Obsessed minds” have not learnt any lesson and hence we are witnessing these incidents. The police Dept. and the administration should provide justice to all other girls of the district who have been the victim of this menace.

Speaking on the occasion the organizing secretary of Mangalore unit of ABVP, Mahipal said “The situation has come where the educated society has to bow their heads and watch the incidents happening in the society. There are many women politicians in the country but none of them have been able to provide justice to the women fraternity of the nation.

They have systematically mislead the protest demanding the Justice in Sowjanya case and we will not tolerate if Akshatha incident is tackled in the same way.”

Various leaders of ABVP and students from different colleges of the city participated in the protest.

It was the outburst of Anger and pain that was highlighted in the Protest.

With slogans “Amar Rahe Amar Rahe,  Akshatha Rahe” , “Provide Justice to Akshatha” the students marched from Jyothi circle to the DC Office.

The protest was organized by ABVP Mangalore.
