Mangaluru: BJP Yuva Morcha workers were detained by the Police here in Surathkal on Friday January 7 while trying to disrupt a programme organised to install new office-bearers by Block Congress Minority Unit.

The protestors included Yuva Morcha Local Unit President Bharat Raj Krishnapur, and Former Mangaluru Mayor and BJP leader Ganesh Hosabettu who expressed their outrage at the security breach incident that occurred when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Punjab, recently. The protestors claimed that it was unfair how the Congress is responding to this incident whereas BJP was pained when Indira Gandhi was killed.

Tensed situation prevailed for a while at the venue as the Congress workers too in turn shouted slogans.
