Mangaluru: Covid cases are on the rise in the Dakshina Kannada District, particularly in schools and colleges. So far, ten schools in the district have been temporarily closed.
The school in Mangaluru North has suspended only that particular class after a class 10 student tested positive for Covid. After more than five cases have been reported, one school in Mangalore South and three others in Puttur Taluk were closed.
On Thursday January 20, a total of 32 students and seven teachers in Dakshina Kannada tested positive. To date, 288 students and 43 teachers have tested positive in the district.
