Puttur: A tanker loaded with edible oil lost control and shed it entire load on a parked car crushing it to the ground on Tuesday, November 1. The accident took place near Manjalpadpu in the town on Mani-Mysuru highway.
As the Maruti 800 car parked on the roadside had no occupants during the time of the incident, only the driver of the truck, Yallalinga suffered minor injuries.
The car was parked by Jayaprakash from Nehru Nagar at around 11pm on Tuesday near Manjalpadpu. The truck which was on its way from Mangaluru towards Madikeri, went out of control and landed on the parked Maruti car.
A case has been registered against the tanker driver in the traffic police station here.
