Mangaluru: With just three days until the inauguration of Mangalore Premier League, the teams are getting ready to put on their batting gloves to score the best in the 20 over matches. One of the leading teams, Maestro Titans with enthusiastic players some of whom were part of Karnataka Premier League have taken this game seriously with a owner-coach-team meeting.
The teams of MPL 2016 will lock horns starting from 17 December for the title cup and Maestro Titans are gearing up for the same. There was a sense of confidence in the air at the meeting held at Maestro Titans’ hospitality partner Hotel Ayush International as the owners of the team discussed their tactics and goals with the team of Maestro Titans.
Team owner Canyut Fernandes presided over the meeting in the presence of Team Director Alphonse Fernandes, Team Coach Rithesh Mendon, Model and Team Representative Sonia Rodrigues, Hotel Ayush International General Manager Jatin Shah and Guest Soujanya Hegde. As the meeting went according to the rules of MPL 2016, Canyut discussed about the inauguration program and informed all the team members to be present at the venue on time. He also reminded the players that there is no need to get irked by players of other teams as their main focus is to win the fairplay award.
Rithesh Mendon, the coach of the team appreciated each member for their individual strengths. Though the team had Tulu speakers more than Kannadigas, there was never a language barrier among the team members since everyone spoke to each other in their own manner.
Akshay Ballal, the team captain assured the management that they can give their best and play fair in all the matches. He also mentioned that he was very happy with the squad and assured that they will perform well in all the league matches.
An evaluation made by the coach on the performance of three players, Abhilash Shetty, Karthik Shetty and Lokesh earned them a special gift from Canyut Fernandes as a token of appreciation. General Manager of Hotel Ayush International, Jatin Shah extended the hotel’s support to the players by hosting them at the hotel.
Canyut Fernandes concluded the meeting by thanking the management of Hotel Ayush International for extending their support and taking special care of the team players.
