Belthangadi: The Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr. Veerendra Heggade turned 70 today. Thousands of well-wishers and devotees wished him on the occasion. He was born on November 25, 1948.
Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza along with few priests greeted him at his residence and complemented him for his services to society. Family members were part of the simple and meaningful celebrations. All those associated with the temple, SDM group of institutions and devotees greeted the Padma Vibushan awardee, who celebrated 50th year of Pattabhishekha few days ago.
Madanthyar parish priest Fr. Basil Vas, Ujire St. Anthony church parish priest Joseph Mascarenhas , Belthangadi parish priest Fr. Bonaventure Nazareth accompanied the Bishop of Mangalore on the occasion. Anugraha’ pre-university college principal Udaya Fernandes and Sr. Dora were also present.
