TMC officials raid outlets, seize plastic bags and collect rental dues

Bantwal: The Town Municipal Council (TMC) probationary officer with help of police raided several outlets in Bantwal and Kaikamba areas and seized banned plastic bags and other related materials. During the raid they also collected long pending rental dues from shop owners.

Around 121 kgs of banned plastic bags were seized during the raids and the shop owners warned of heavy penalty in case they continued using banned plastic bags and thermocol, through a notification.

At the same time, they collected rental dues to TMC amounting to Rs. 1.82 Lakh from different outlets.

The notification said water dues would be collected in the near future from those who possess unauthorised water connections.

Gargi Jain, Probationary IAS officer, Bantwal TMC led the raid.
