Kannur: In a case of reckless driving, a truck driver rammed into a parked KSRTC bus killing five passengers, including a woman and injuring 20 others at Vadakkara, 24 km from Kannur here on November 4.
As per reports, the bus was travelling towards Pazhangadi in the district had been parked on the roadside after one of its tyres burst when a truck ploughed through it at around 7.30 pm on Saturday. Few of the bus passengers were waiting near the vehicle as its tyre was being replaced.
The injured have been admitted to the Pariyaram Medical College Hospital.
The truck driver is said to have fled from the spot.
A case has been registered.
