Two PUC students drown in Kumardhara river; bodies traced

Sullia: In a tragic incident, two PUC students drowned in the Kumaradhara river at Kukke Subrahmanya on Monday, November 22. The police, local swimmers and Fire and Emergency Services personnel managed to recover the bodies on Tuesday.

Delhi Police officer shoots self, wife jumps from flat-1Jitesh A.R. (17) a resident of Guthigar village and Stephan Raj (17) from Balpa village near Subrahmanya, students of Kukke Subrahmanya Pre-University College, are the deceased.

The Subrahmanya police said that along with eight other classmates, Jitesh and Stephan went to the river for a swim on Monday after classes.

Jitesh and Stephan Raj reportedly ventured  into deep waters, and after a while, the others could not find them and alerted the police and local people. They could not trace the bodies on Monday. However, on Tuesday afternoon the bodies were recovered after a prolonged search.
