Upgraded amenities for pilgrims at Subrahmanya Road Railway Station

Mangaluru: Kukke Subrahmanya is one the most popular pilgrimage centre in South India and the Railway station serving this pilgrimage centre is Subrahmanya Road in the Dakhina Kannada District. Given the needs of ever-growing pilgrim passengers at Subrahmanya Road Station, South Western Railway is happy to announce the commissioning of the Yatri Nivas at Subrahmanya Road Railway Station.

A press release from South Western Railway division states that the building houses separate blocks for ladies, gents, and people with mobility issues. Bonafide railway passengers can use the toilets and bathing facilities in the Yatri Nivas free of cost before leaving for the temple. A dressing room and baby feeding facility are also available in the ladies’ waiting room, release added.
Rahul Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager, South Western Railway, Mysuru Division has stated that these facilities will go a long way in providing upgraded amenities for pilgrims reaching Subrahmanya by rail.

Subrahmanya Road Railway Station is a witness to a continuous flow of pilgrims throughout the year from every nook and corner of the country. On auspicious occasions, the station caters to the needs of an extraordinary rush of traffic running into several thousands of passengers. It is also the nearest railway station to the other prominent pilgrimage centre, Dharmasthala.
