Valachil: SDPI blocks CM’s convoy, showcases black flag as mark of protest

Mangaluru: Opposing the silence of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai in suicide case of contractor Santosh Patil and also on increasing instances of communal disturbances in the State, Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) workers showcased black flag as mark of protest when CM’s convoy arrived at Valachi here in the Taluk.

CM Bommai was on the way from Mangaluru to attend Dakshina Kannada District level BJP organisation meet organised at Bantara Bhavana, BC Road, Bantwal here in the Dakshina Kannada District on Wednesday April 13. As soon as CM Bommai’s convoy arrived SDPI workers blocked road and showcased black flag.

However, Police dispersed group of SDPI workers and detained some of them.
