Mangaluru: “In order to protect our country and for the development of the district, people should vote for the BJP”, informed sitting MP of Dakshina Kannada Nalin Kumar Kateel, on Sunday, April 7.
He was addressing the gathering at a public meeting organised at Naguri. He said, “new voters and students want to re-elect Narendra Modi as the prime minister of the country. Hence, the BJP will be voted to power by securing more seats than the previous election”, he said and thanked the public for electing him as MP twice. “I am seeking the blessings of voters for the third time and I will execute my duty sincerely and honestly”, he added.
Prior to the public meeting, a huge rally was organised from Pumpwell Circle to Naguri to mark the programme ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ wherein thousands of BJP supporters and activists shouted slogans in favour of Modi and the BJP.
Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath, former minister B Nagaraj Shetty, former MLA N Yogish Bhat, former MLC Monappa Bhandary, and others leaders Nithin Kumar, Ravishankar Mijar, Ramesh Kandettu, Jithendra Kottary, Premananda Shetty, Bhaskarchandra Shetty among others were present.
‘Vishwa Guru’ status for India under Modi
Later, addressing an ‘intellectuals’ meet’, organised at Sudheendra Sabha Bhavan in Dongarakeri, the MP said that the country can become ‘Vishwa Guru’ only under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hence, it is the responsibility of the people to re-elect Narendra Modi as the prime minister of India.
“We should protect our culture. The spiritual power and the rich culture and traditions of our country has attained its peak during the regime of Modi. Our Yoga has received global recognition. The power of our forces has been revealed in the recent days. These were all possible only due to Modi”, he said.
Nalin claimed that he has succeeded to bring developmental works to the tune of Rs 16,520 crores in the last five years. He also informed that people are directly benefited from over 150 different schemes like Ujwala, Ayushman, digital India among others.
