Mangaluru: “We will surely hoist ‘Bhagavaddwaja’ at Red Fort,” said Belthangady MLA Harish Poonja.
He said this at the Belthangady protest organised by Hindu Janajagruthi Samithi condemning the murder of Hindu Harsha at Shivamogga, recently. Further, he stressed that Bhagavaddwaja will be hoisted under the National Flag, and added that no party can stop us from hoisting Bhagavaddwaja at Red Fort which is a promise by BJP and Hindu society.
A clipping of Tulu speech made at this protest by Poonja has gone viral. He is seen stating that it is the Congress which is responsible for murder of Harsha as it is they who conspired, motivated and provoked this heinous act.
MLA Poonja states that in the name of condemning Eshwarappa’s statement on hoisting of Bhagavaddwaja at Red Fort they had curtailed the session without reason.
Poonja added that Bal Gangadhar Tilak fought for the freedom of the country proudly waving Bhagavaddwaja. Shivaji Maharaj who is the power of Hindu society too used Bhagavaddwaja, he averred.
