Belthangadi: Yoga enriches humans to feel like divine, said Paramahams Sri Maheshwarnandji at International Yoga fest in Dharmasthala on November 21.

Inaugurating the 2nd edition of Federation Yoga Sports Cup 2017 (Yogotsava) at Amritavarshini auditorium, Seer of Deep Mahadanand Ashram based in Vienna said,” Yoga is not about physical or breathing exercises but is about balancing one’s lifestyle to live in harmony with the society. Yoga is not confined to any caste or religion because religious existence relies on Yoga.”

Lauding the Modi government for creating a separate Ayush ministry, the seer felt that the move will help in combating diabetes and cancer without drugs. The ministry concerned is busy establishing dedicated “Yoga villages” and Dharmasthala’s Yoga and Naturopathy centre is rated as the centre of excellence, stated seer.

Youth have embraced western culture and slowly returning to Yogic culture in the last 2-3 years, said Dr. Veerendra Heggade speaking on the occasion. The ones practising Yoga should inspire others and the splendid performances at the International Yoga fest can have far reaching consequences, said Dr. Heggade asking the participants to dream of a medal in gymnastics category at Olympics.
