Mangalore: Konkani writers association(Regd.) in association with Konkani weekly Rakno, had organised Yuvakirnam, an interaction with young konkani writers at Bishops house, Mangalore.
The chief guest of the ceremony was Chief editor of Rakno weekly, Fr. Francis Rodrigues. He in his address, ” It is a wrong notion that has been implanted in the minds of konkani people that there are no young writers in Konkani. Todays young writers have come out of the traditional shell and are bringing up their thoughts in a new manner which is a good sign for literature.”
Young writers Antony Barkur, Wilma Bantwal, Venkatesh Nayak participated in the interaction. Renowned konkani writer Basti Vaman Shenoy was present at the occassion.
President of Konkani writers association H M Pernal welcomed the gathering and Tony Ferros was the master of the ceremony.
