‘Positive response from CM, Revenue Minister on formation of Kaup taluk’

Udupi: Regarding the establishment of Kaup taluk in the coming budget, a petition has been already submitted to the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Revenue Minister Kagodu Thimmappa. The response for the petition is positive, said MLA Vinay Kumar Sorake.

The MLA was speaking at the ground breaking ceremony of the construction of new building for Municipal Council at Kaup. The new building will cost about Rs 5 crore. Meanwhile, a proposal for the construction of taluk office, mini Vidhana Saudha and Horticulture Park is also submitted to the government.

Sorake said that Rs. 47.50 crore is being sought under S. R. Project, Rs 10 crore under city development project, Rs 7.50 crore for disposal of trash along with 10 acre of land, Rs 5 crore under SC/ST project, Rs 35 crores for UDG implementation, Rs. 70 crores for permanent drinking water project and Rs 5 crore for crematorium, park and lake.

Usman Vice President, Abdul Hameed, Standing Committee President, Arun Shetty Opposition party leader, council members, chief officer Rayappa, Grama Panchayat Okkoota President Devi Prasad Shetty, C A Bank President Kaup Diwakar Shetty, Director Vasudeva Shetty, Naveenchandra J Shetty Kaup Block Congress President and Deepak Kumar Yermal, director of Karnataka Development Corporation were present.
