Udupi: With about three weeks time left to submit chargesheet in the Bhasker Shetty murder case, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is awaiting the DNA report which could help strengthen their case.
The CID feels that the DNA report along with the evidence they have collected will help their cause. Chargesheet need to be filed within 90 days from the date of first arrest in criminal cases. According to inside sources, the chargesheet has been prepared and the CID is waiting for the DNA report.
The bones recovered from the river by the CID were confirmed to be of humans by the forensic reports. If those match the DNA samples of Shetty’s mother and brother, the CID can easily prove the fact that the accused were behind the sensational murder.
