Bhasker Shetty murder: Court adjournes prime accused Rajeshwari’s bail plea

Udupi: The hearing of the bail plea of prime accused in the Bhasker Shetty murder case, Rajeshwari Shetty, was adjourned by the district and sessions court to November 9.

District Judge Shivashankar B Amarannavar, adjourned the hearing to November 9 after public prosecutor Shantarm Shetty who is handling the sensational murder case, sought time. The hearing of Rajeshwari’s bail plea was adjourned earlier too.

It may be recalled, Bhaskar Shetty, a NRI hotelier was murdered on July 28. Police arrested Rajeshwari and her son Navneeth on charges of murder and destroying evidence while they arrested Niranjan for allegedly helping in disposing of Bhasker Shetty’s body. The police further arrested Srinivas Bhat, father of Niranjan Bhat, and Raghavendra, Niranjan’s car driver on the charge of destruction of evidence in the case.
