Udupi: BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel on Tuesday May 10 said that the party will win 150 seats in the upcoming Assembly election.
“The party will work as a team under the leadership of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa,” said Kateel during a State office bearers’ meeting in Udupi.
He claimed that previous Congress governments were riddled with corruption and nepotism and that they did not act in the best interests of the nation. “Be it Hijab, Azaan, or Halal issues, the state government has sent a clear message to those who disrupt peace,” he said.
Kateel also blamed former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for the recent clashes in Hubballi and Shivamogga, claiming that 2,000 KFD workers were released from jail during Siddaramaiah’s tenure in the state, and that same workers recently caused unrest in the State.
Kateel remarked after the BJP’s state executive committee meeting in Hosapete last month, organisational work has picked up speed, with the party planning to win the upcoming elections as per the vision of BJP President J. P. Nadda and BJP National General Secretary B. L. Santhosh.
