Udupi: The Bengaluru City Police on Tuesday April 5 shot in the leg of two men while arresting them for allegedly kidnapping a man and sexually abusing him last month.
The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Ashik (22) of Kapu in Udupi and Issac (21) of Kundapura. The duo on March 26 kidnapped a student from the Kothanur area and robbed him of cash and other valuables on knife-point while threatening to kill him. They also forced him to perform oral sex on them.
On Tuesday, the police on a tip-off chased the group that calls itself, Team Garuda-900 and arrested them. The police said that the gang has cases of robberies, thefts, and extortions among others.
