Udupi: A delegation comprising Dakshina Kannada and Udupi District Cooperative Fish Marketing Federation President Yash Paul Suvarna and others, led by Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat, met with Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa regarding the women’s fisheries loan waiver.
During the meeting, the CM agreed to promptly sanction the amount for the women’s fisheries loan waiver scheme to be deposited in the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
He also ordered the authorities to deposit the amount in the fisherwomen’s bank accounts within a week.
Home Minister Basavaraja Bommai and Fisheries and Ports Minister Kota Srinivasa Poojary were also present.
