GPs having over 50 cases of Covid to be under lockdown for 5 days from June 2

Udupi: The district administration has decided to completely lockdown all gram panchayats with more than 50 Covid – 19 positive cases from Wednesday June 2 in the district.

The measure has been undertaken to control the spread of the infection. In all, 35 gram panchayats in the district have more than 50 active cases.

The gram panchayats which will be under lockdown as per current situation are Thenkkanidiyur, Bommarabettu, Belapu, Belle, Padubidri, Maala, Shirva, Eedu, Kukkunduru, Marne, Kadtal, Palli, Nitte, Bellman, Miyaru, Belve, Shirur, Jadkal, Kambadakone, Nada, Kavradi, Hombady, Mandady, Koteshwara, Halady, Idur Kunjadi, Ajri, Aluru, Kalaturu, Badagabettu, Alevoor, Perdoor, Mudrady and Varanga.
