Udupi: “We support the ruling party based on certain principles. But if the Udupi SP is transferred due to political reasons, then I will not tolerate. This is my warning”, tweeted Opposition Party leader of the Legislative Council, Kota Srinivasa Poojari.
A few days ago, a verbal spat was observed between the Congress and the BJP party workers on account of Bharat Bandh. Later, a mob had gathered in front of the SP’s office. The spat turned violent and when it began affecting the law and order situation of the district, Udupi SP Lakshman Nimbargi rushed to the spot. When the incident did not come under control, police resorted to lathi charge.
Regarding the same, the Congress party workers had also confronted District In-Charge Minister Dr. Jayamala. They demanded the transfer of the SP, for which there is no reaction from the minister.
Regarding the same, MLC Kota Srinivasa Poojari has taken to Twitter supporting the SP.
