Udupi: Chief Minister Kumaraswamy, who had visited the district for the Shivamogga Lok Sabha by poll canvassing, made scathing remarks against the Bharatiya Janata Party, here on Tuesday, October 30.

CM HDK said, “The Hindus and the Muslims must not get into any fights. Our party inculcates better Hindutva principles than the BJP. We are one step ahead of them when it comes to Hindutva.”

“The BJP has manifested only emotional and sentimental matters and fought the elections. As a result, the people of the coastal city have become victims of Hindutva. The leaders of their party are dreaming of demolishing this government. However, we are blessed by the gods”, he added.

Showcasing his confidence, CM Kumaraswamy said, “My tenure will be decided by the God. I’ll not return home after the by poll. Nothing is going to happen as Yeddyurappa says. I’ll visit the house of the poor and will also have a talk with them.”

He said that the state exchequer was financially stable and that the party’s intention was to defeat the father and the son duo (B S Yeddyurappa and BY Raghavendra) in the elections.
