Udupi: A newly wed couple from Udupi got one of the best gifts from none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi!
In the year’s last edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, PM Modi lauded the couple for efforts to clean the beach and this turned out to be an unexpected gift for the couple- Anudeep Hegde and Minusha Kanchan.
Anudeep and Minusha got married recently and instead of traveling to some exotic location for their honeymoon, the two decided to go to Someshwara beach.
The couple cleaned the beach stretch and collected 8 quintals of waste disposed there. The love for environment exhibited by the couple had hit headlines.
However, their joy doubled when PM Modi mentioned about the two, on Sunday in his Mann Ki Baat programme.
The couple told Vijaya Karnataka Kannada daily that the words of appreciation from PM Modi has only come as an incentive to continue the good work and make a difference.
BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel too visited the couple and felicitated the two.
