Udupi: A resident of Kundapura, who had written a grievance letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the slow progress of the national highway road construction and flyover, has received an acknowledgement and a response from the PM’s office (PMO).
Vignesh Shenoy, who had written a letter on December 24 stating, “From the past decade, the national highway work is under progress. Because of the delayed work, the national highway and service roads have no difference. Due to this, people are facing traffic congestions. Especially the buses that come from Bengaluru are causing a lot of issues. The NH 66 work from Kundapura to Surathkal has not been completed. Inspite of the pending work, the toll is being collected at the Hejamadi Toll Gate. I request you to kindly stop collecting tolls until the pending road works are completed.”
In response to this, Vignesh received an acknowledgement from the PMO saying, “We have received your grievance. The same will be forwarded to the secretary of the Ministry for Road Transport and Highways.”
Vignesh has once again written a letter, responding to the acknowledgement stating, “The solution to the problem is not yet found, even though the issue was brought to the notice of the concerned parliamentarian, legislator and officials. Hence I’m writing this letter to you.”
