Udupi: Three people were injured in a collision between two vehicles at Pangala in Kaup Police Station limits here on June 22.
An Eicher lorry was plying from Udupi to Mangaluru on National Highway 66 when a tanker crashed into it from the rear. As a result, the lorry jumped over the divider and rolled over. The front portion of the tanker was disfigured beyond recognition.
As per sources, the driver of the tanker sustained serious injuries and is admitted to a hospital for further treatment.
There was a huge traffic jam on the busy highway for several hours until the wreckage could be cleared. Kaup police visited the spot and are investigating the case.
