Udupi: Autorickshaw rides to be dearer in District from Oct 1

Udupi: The minimum fare has been fixed at Rs. 40 for journeys up to 1.5 kms, after which it will cost Rs. 20 for every kilometre extra.

The District Transport Authority through its order has revised the fares for autorickshaws plying in the District.

RTO In-Charge Officer Ravi Shankar P. stated that the order should be strictly followed. Flag metres must be installed in every autos as permitted by law for their rickshaws. One can get them from the Legal Metrology Department according to the above rate.
