Udupi: BJP candidate from Udupi Assembly constituency Yashpal Suvarna has filed his nomination papers at the Udupi Taluk Office.
Before filing nominations, he went to Udupi Krishna Matha and offered prayers to the deity. Later, he visited Malpe Ayyappa Swamy Temple and Kadiyali Temple and sought the blessings of the deity. Later, he attended a public meeting near the BJP Office from where he along with thousands of party workers reached the Udupi taluk office and submitted his nomination papers to returning officer Seetha.
MLA Raghupathi Bhat, Veena Naik, Ridhi, Mahesh Thakur and Manohar Kalmadi were present on the occasion.
