Udupi: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will arrive ahead of the scheduled time for the inauguration of the Kadambotsava to be held at the historic Banavasi.
Speaking after inaugurating the Kadamba Jyothi at Gudnapur on Sunday February 26 Minister Shivaram Hebbar said that the CM, who was scheduled to arrive at 6.00 pm on Tuesday February 28 for the dedicating the chariot, the launch of the irrigation project and the inauguration of the Kadambotsava, will arrive earlier than the scheduled time. “The CM will arrive at Banavasi at 4.00 pm and launch the irrigation project, have darshan of the deity, dedicate the chariot and inaugurate the Kadambotsava,” he said.
“Kadambotsava is a festival of Kannadigas’ self-respect, awareness of land and water and it’s importance,” he said and appealed to the people to participate, enthusiastically.
