Udupi: The investigation into the young couple’s death has taken a new turn, with the investigating officers suspecting murder.
The bodies of Yashwanth Yadav V. and Jyothi M. were found in the early hours of Sunday May 22. The couple had married before they were charred to death while sitting in the backseat of the rented car.
Police informed that the charred bodies were discovered in an embrace.
Following the incident, Yashwanth Yadav and Jyothi’s parents claimed that they were unaware of their son’s and daughter’s relationship.
They claimed that if they had known, they would have married them. They held their children accountable for their inability to face the world after falling in love.
