Udupi: Police have discovered evidence suggesting that Dr. Krishnamurthy S. of Badiyadka, who was found dead on railway tracks under mysterious circumstances, had taken a bus from Kundapura to Siddapura before his death.
The doctor was seen carrying an untraceable bag near Shastri Circle on a CCTV camera.
Dr. Krishnamurthy’s mutilated body was found on the railway tracks near Kadu Ajjimane in Hattiyangadi village, inside the limits of Kundapura Rural Police Station, on November 9. He had gone missing from his clinic in Badiyadka on November 8. On November 10, his family identified the body.
The doctor was caught on a CCTV camera travelling toward Siddapura in a private bus. It’s likely that he got out while attempting to go to the railway track near Hattiyangadi.
In the meantime, authorities have found some of the deceased doctor’s personal items, including his belt, slippers, and glasses. But the bag he was carrying is still missing. The luggage may hold crucial information about the death, therefore police are searching for it.
A case has been filed by Manjeshwar police against 56 persons in a march at Paivalike calling for a thorough investigation into the mysterious death of Dr. Krishnamurthy. They are accused of causing an obstruction in the movement of traffic.
