Udupi: In a tragic incident, a fisherman fell into water while he was emptying the fish from the boat and died in the Panchagangavali River at Gangolli Port.
The deceased fisherman has been identified as Pramod Minz, a native of Orissa. He worked as a fisherman on the boat Yakshaswari.
Accordingly, on Wednesday November 30, after completing deep-sea fishing, the boat was stopped in the Panchagangavali River near Gangolli port and the fish was being emptied from the boat. Pramod accidentally fell into the river from the boat and went missing.
Pramod’s body was found in the river this morning. A case has been registered at Gangolli Police Station in this regard.
