Udupi: Kattinamakki Government Junior Primary School in Harkur Village of Byndur Assembly Constituency is surrounded by forest area. This region has a lot of wild boars including leopards and the parents are afraid of the wild animals. They want a compound to be constructed around the school for the protection of the children.

There is a lot of stray dogs roaming around the school and they have set up camp within the school premises. Actions need to be taken to control the dogs that run behind the children during lunch time.

There are two female teachers in Kattinamakki School for class 1 to 5. If one goes out for work, another assistant teacher has to teach up to class 5. It has been the insistence of the school SDMC that steps should be taken to appoint an additional teacher in the new academic year.
