Udupi: BJP Senior Leader K. S. Eshwarappa said, “It is wrong to shout Azaan four to five times a day. I have just conveyed the feeling of the people clearly. I have no hesitation of expressing my opinion and therefore the statement cannot be controversial,” he said.
Speaking at a press conference in Manipal here he said, “Azaan is shouted on the microphone four to five times in the morning, afternoon and evening. This will cause problems for hospital patients and among general public. Since exams are being conducted in the State, the studies of the students are being disturbed.”
“In this season there are so many public programmes that is taking place. Azaan has been impediment for that too,” he said.
