Udupi: The Forest officials along with the help of the locals, successfully trapped a leopard. In a ten-hour operation, leopard was rescued from a dilapidated home at Hiriadka here.
On information that from locals, the Forest Department officials trapped the leopard on Thursday September 8.
Under the guidance of Subrahmanya Acharya, the operation was held and Anesthesiologist Dr Meghana tried to tranquillise the animal. However, finally, the Forest Department officials successfully in tranquilised leopard.
The male leopard is about three years old. After capturing the leopard in the cage, the Forest Department officials released it into the forest.
