Udupi: A speeding bus collided with a pick-up van, killing the driver at Dugganaraya Chadavu in Karkala’s Hirgana on Monday September 12.
The deceased has been identified as Santosh Nayak, a resident of Nellikatte.
According to sources, the pickup truck was travelling from Hirgana to Nellikatte, while the bus was moving from Hebri towards Bengaluru.
The bus driver was overspeeding and this led to the mishap, alleged eyewitnesses.
A case has been registered at Karkala Police Station.
